Rumored Spoilers for CM Punk's Triple Threat Match at WrestleMania 41

CM Punk Set for WrestleMania 41 Main Event, WWE Reportedly Protecting Him from Clean Losses

On last Friday’s episode of SmackDown, Paul Heyman made a blockbuster announcement—CM Punk will finally main event WrestleMania.

Punk is set to face Roman Reigns and Seth Rollins in a Triple Threat Match, likely headlining Night 1 of WrestleMania 41. However, this match isn’t the favor Heyman and The Tribal Chief owe Punk for assisting the OG Bloodline at Survivor Series 2024.

According to Sean Ross Sapp on the Fightful podcast, WWE has no plans for Punk to lose clean anytime soon. This significantly lowers the chances of him being pinned at WrestleMania 41. WWE is reportedly focused on protecting Punk and keeping him strong, as rumors suggest he may challenge for a world title later this year.

During a recent interview on The Rich Eisen Show, Punk reflected on his role in forming The Shield back in 2012 and how things have come full circle:

“In 2012, I was the WWE Champion on what was, at the time, a historic 434-day run. Roman has obviously shattered that since I’ve been gone, but back then, I needed guys to work with. I was always thinking about the future. There was me, there was Cena, but I looked at the landscape and asked, ‘How do we elevate the next generation?’

The idea behind The Shield was simple—I needed top-tier opponents, whether I liked them or not. Now, here we are, all these years later, and I’m facing two of those guys at WrestleMania. Life works in funny ways, but I hope they don’t forget who picked them in the first place. I brought them in, and at WrestleMania, I have the chance to take them out.”

With Punk back in the WrestleMania main event and WWE seemingly protecting his momentum, fans are eager to see how this storyline unfolds in the coming months.
